Can Bearded Dragons Eat Oatmeal?

Why is Phosphorus Content Important for Bearded Dragons?

Bearded dragons require a specific ratio of calcium to phosphorus in their diet to maintain proper bone health.

A healthy bearded dragon diet should contain a calcium-to-phosphorus ratio of 1:1 to 2:1. When this ratio is imbalanced; it can lead to metabolic bone disease, which can cause weak bones, deformities, and other health issues.

Unfortunately, oatmeal is a food that is high in phosphorus and low in calcium, which can throw off the balance of a bearded dragon’s diet.
